Not really. They both address similar skin concerns but Nano is much less evasive. The depth penetrated by the needling is the biggest difference between the two procedures. Nano-needling creates microchannels in the first layer of the skin using a uniform grid of pyramid-like micro-structures, while microneedling penetrates into the deep dermis using needles.

No! Nano-needling is preformed with a pen that uses single use cartridges made up of tiny pyramid shaped pins smaller than a strand of human hair. When the pen touches the skin it creates up to 200K invisible micro channels allowing serums to absorb deeper into the skin giving you better results. Unlike microneedling, Nano needs no numbing cream. This makes it an excellent alternative to people allergic to lidocaine or a dislike for needles.
