Benzoyl Peroxide, Retinols, Tretinoin, Enzymes, Adapelene, Renova, Differin, Tazorac, Avage, EpiDuo, or Ziana
WITHIN 2 WEEKS

No facials
-
No Laser Hair Removal/Electrolysis on the treatment area
-
No fillers or botox
WITHIN 1 MONTH
-
Do not get IPL/Photo Facial
-
No Chemical Peel
-
No Microneedling
-
No Eyebrow Microblading
-
No Dermaplane (only applies if wanting another dermaplane)

Recommended to stop smoking as it reduces the effects of the treatment.
WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF TREATMENT

No Laser treatment

No Cosmetic Surgery

No Radiation

No Chemotherapy
WITHIN 1 YEAR OF TREATMENT

No Accutane or Isotretinoin

POST-CARE INSTRUCTIONS
-
Use gentle cleanser for 24 hours
-
DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the skin
-
Keep skin moisturized and hydrated
-
Use sunscreen 30+
-
Drink plenty of water
-
Avoid makeup or products for at least 6 hours
-
Do not get Botox® for at least 24 hours
-
Wait 24 hours to spray tan because your pores are open
-
Avoid chlorine for 48 hours
-
Avoid exfoliating agents for 48-72 hours
-
Avoid waxing and use of depilatories for 72 hours
-
Avoid vigorous physical activity for 24 hours
-
Avoid extreme heat, sweating, steam rooms & heavy workouts for 24 hours
-
Avoid direct sun or Indoor tanning for 72 hours
-
Avoid smoking/drinking alcohol for up to 72 hours (if you can) as they can intensify side effects and dehydrate you.
-
Avoid prescription retinoid products for 5 to 7 days after treatment. Patients receiving a series of treatments should not resume retinoids until after the final treatment, unless directed differently by their doctor.

Avoid OTC acne meds and active ingredients like prescription topicals, AHAs/BHAs, Glycolic, Benzoyl Peroxide, Vitamin C, and others for at least 3 days
-
No skin treatments for 1 week
-
No chemical peels for 2 weeks
CONTRAIDICATIONS
Although it is impossible to list every potential risk and complication, the following conditions are recognized as contraindications for a Facial and must be disclosed prior to treatment.

Nickel or fruit Allergy (for dermaplane facials)

Active Acne (for dermaplane facials) or Herpes Infection (if active on face)

Eczema or Dermatitis (for dermaplane facials)
-
Hemophilia or taking blood thinners (for dermaplane facials)
-
Uncontrolled Diabetes, Lupus
-
Sunburn and windburn
-
Skin Cancer, Cancer Therapy, Chemotherapy or Radiation
-
Thick, dark terminal facial hair (for dermaplane facials)
-
Use of Accutane or Isotretinoin within the last year
-
Family history of Hypertrophic Scarring or Keloid Formation (for dermaplane facials)
-
Telangiectasia (erythema may be worsened or brought out by exfoliation)
-
Hormonal Therapy that produces thick pigmentation
-
Vascular Lesion, Malignant Skin Tumors, open Lesions, Scleroderma & Keratoses
-
Oily Skin for Dermaplane (Microdermabrasion would be better!)
-
If your skin is broken or extremely irritated
-
If you are allergic to Salicylic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide or Sulfur (acne patients, please email us before scheduling)
-
Photosensitive medications (if getting LED Light)
-
Chemical peel within the last month or used retinol in 72 hours.

Diseases which may be stimulated by heat such as herpes simplex in the treatment area may be treated following a prophylactic regimen

Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases such as HIV, AIDS, or use of Immunosuppressive medications.
